As Christians we all are commissioned by Jesus to be involved in missions. In Acts 1:8, Jesus commanded his followers to “be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria and unto the ends of the earth.” Through this commission, Christ gives us a mission and method of spreading the Good News. The message closely parallels the Great Commission in Matt. 28: 19-20. Simply, we are to begin missions at home and extend to the most remote places on earth.

The objective of Baptist Men at Westwood is to involve our members in missions. First to understand the importance of praying for and giving to missions and then to have hands on experiences in helping others. This is done through local mission projects, disaster relief and recovery work through North Carolina Baptist Men, and overseas mission opportunities. Our aim is to do at least one mission project each month.
